Incheon Airport to the city: paying for the first ride
The first ride is where many visitors get stuck: you can't board AREX at Incheon with a Climate Card, and airport limousines don't take cards on board. Here's what each option accepts.
AREX (airport railroad)

- T-money can't be used on the Express train, but it can on the all-stop train.Source: AREX — FAQ · checked Oct 20, 2026
- Single-journey cards at AREX stations from T2 to Seoul Station can be bought by credit card (500 won deposit).Source: Korea Tourism Organization (VisitKorea) — AREX guide, Feb 2025 · checked Oct 20, 2026

Airport limousine bus
- Airport Limousine Co. sells tickets at counters and kiosks. On board you pay with cash or a transit card such as T-money; credit cards aren't accepted on the bus, and there's no advance online booking.Source: Airport Limousine Co. — English site · checked Oct 20, 2026
- The Korea Tourism Organization's airport bus page says to buy tickets in advance at the counters or machines (T1 1F, T2 B1). Its advice differs from the operator's on paying on board, so rules may vary by company and route.Source: Korea Tourism Organization (VisitKorea) — airport buses · checked Oct 20, 2026
- Not confirmedWhether Incheon Airport bus counters and kiosks accept foreign cards: not confirmed.Closest source: Korea Tourism Organization (VisitKorea) — airport buses · checked Oct 20, 2026
