Kakao apps without a Korean number
For taxis, the app most visitors need isn’t Kakao T — it’s k.ride, Kakao Mobility’s app for foreigners. It calls Kakao taxis, doesn’t need a Kakao account, and takes foreign cards. KakaoTalk works with an overseas number; KakaoPay doesn’t work for visitors.
